Catalogue notes and sources
Complete five-sheet composition (pentaptych), not a triptych. Fuji Arts identifies the work as Modern Men at the Flower Festival and dates it 1860. Tokyo Metropolitan Library holds three sheets under the supplied title 〔祭礼御輿之図〕 (Festival Mikoshi Procession) and dates them to June 1862, publishing them under Kakumotoya Kinjirō. The two dates differ and require further verification; the library date has direct catalogue documentation. Sakai (2018), records 5473–5474, describes a related festival composition with the same publisher; the record-to-image correspondence and recorded number of sheets require verification. The five-panel composition is the source of the image used here.
